Greetings fellow traveller

Hi B&T....

Just found out you had a blog site so I've come to check it out. I've only managed to have a flick through the photos as well as the 'Last Blog of the Season' but it all seems fantastic. Not many people I know can say they have been to Alaska so that's truely special for your honeymoon.

Keep on writing.....

Hi Taz & Bran.   Just updated myself from your latest blogs.  Vancouver sounds lovely.  Just for interest, this morning R10 = C$1.47.  Hope this helps.  To make you feel better, I go to movies on Tuesday (cheapie day) and it costs me R52.  Smallest coke is R10, smallest popcorn same price.  Off to see "The Queen" tomorrow.  Hope you got to see some filming and famous faces.  My friends Rose and Tony in Benoni, their daughter Debs is married to Cameron, Charlize Theron's brother.  They went to her Los Angeles home while on honeymoon.  OK, that's my name-dropping for the day.

Enjoy the crossing.

Peanuts and Smarties?

Help, if that is what I am faced with in Dec, my pennies will not go far.  Mind you, R2200 is about £150 and in London you could probably get the meal, but forget the wine.  Here in hicksville you could do better, but quality would be non-existent.

I am just so enjoying following you in your adventures.  I sign-in every evening hoping for an update.

We would love to come through and see you before you board, even for a couple of hours if you can get there a bit early.  Oh, and if you have any dollars left (????) I would like to buy them off you, Mom can send you the money from my account with her.  Maybe I can give you a bit more than you paid for them, and I can get them for a bit less??  Over to you, just let me know your flight No. so we can check terminal No.

I see Mom and Dad V, Mags and Gran are away for the long week-end.  By way of your amazing webside, greetings to you all, and Lyn, hope you had a lovely birthday weekend.  Al, hope you had a good rest.  Mags, keep blooming.  Doreen, love and hugs, keep well.  You are amazing!

As for our happy wanderers, enjoy the rest of your amazing trip.  Hope we get to see you.

For the fisherman

There are NO salmon to catch at this time of year in these parts, unless you jig an ugly dead/dying one floating in the river.  You have to specifically go to special spots to fish for silver salmon which we didn't know till we got here.

Happy Birthday Les!

Hope you have a stunning day.  See you next week to celebrate.  Love Us x x

How far away are you???

I just checked out your current location on the map, and if you think about it, you are probably now at the farthest point from Cape Town as it is possible to be!

Praise the Lord for the Internet.  It is just amazing to share your experiences and photos.  Gone are the days of bringing back rolls of film to the local chemist, getting them back and deciding who gets what, "where was this taken?" etc.

Hope you guys are still fitting into your clothes - the ship sounds awesome.  So the lumberjacks really do wear those shirts!  The whale sighting must have been stunning, and on and on.  I could fill a page!

If there is any chance of meeting up during your stay in the UK (which I see is short and sweet) that would be great, could you email me at cherylorton@btinternet.com, or at worst, I could come through to Heathrow to see you on 1st October, depending on what time you get there, and if there would be time for a chat before you check in.

Hope to hear from you soon.  Take care, and God Bless and keep you safe for the rest of your journey.

Dear Taryn and Brandin,

Having the most amazing time reading your blogs, almost feel like we all with you! Knowing how organised you are, Jules and I are attempting to be the same and are trying to get our A into G for the UK leg of your honeymoon.  Donna will be collecting you from the airport, Brandin you're ok my new car has air con - not that you'll need it according to the weathermen! Then we'll just work out the plans as we go.... Jules mentioned something about the theatre?? Both of us are highly excited to see you - hence the attempt at planning now!!

Anyway take care enjoy the rest of the travels!!

Happy Wanderers

Hi Taz and Bran

All sounds absolutely awesome!!  It must be the trip of a lifetime.  Have a great time - travel safely and take care.

I am off to Clint on 8th Dec for a month - will probably see bears of a different colour.  The white ones are supposed to be even more dangerous - but they look so cuddly!

Loads of love to you both

God Bless

Cherry and Martin
